Although it depends on the evolution in each patient, the general recommendation is to wait at least 3 months to make your first haircut after the hair transplant. It is also recommended that the first cut should not be very close to the scalp.
When can I get a haircut after hair transplant?
During the first 5 days, the newly implanted grafts are very fragile and you should take care not to touch them. We usually advise patients to wait for 8-10 days before cutting their hair. At this point, the grafts are secure and you should be safe to get a haircut without damaging them or jeopardising your recovery.
